My Stay at the Hospital

Though I was puffy and swollen... nothing could take away my love for this little boy. He is truly such a little miracle angel!! I LOVE HIM!!!! He is SO fun. All the nurses at the hospital all wanted to be the ones to take care of him... he is THAT cute! :) Our stay at the hospital was GREAT!!! The staff was SO nice and it was great to be only 1 of about 5 moms there.... so the staff just crawled all over you wanting to help out and get you anything you wanted.
Daddy just sitting back and relaxing with Junior. We just chilled all week!!
Daddy loves his little man!
We had all sorts of visitors... Grandma Bornemeier was one proud visitor there that had stayed for the whole day of the delivery up to the end!! YEah Grandma!!
Maren's little girl Megan got to hold little Dylan and felt SO BIG holding him!

DYLAN IS HERE!!!

October 6th 2008 7:00 a.m. we take one last photo of the "Big Me"! Now looking at the picture it is hard to believe I was that big!! WOW! I was excited to be rid of the watermelon look... but I had no idea what was in store for me.
How lovely I looked! :) This was about half way through the day. I was only about half way there to full dialation. I was trying to fake a smile though I felt like CRAP!
FIRST GLANCE between mommy and dylan!!
At 10:00 p.m. it was decided that I was FINALLY far enough along to start pushing. An hour and a half later no progress was made except the fact that the doc discovered that my pelvic bone was too narrow and small and poor Dylan could not pass through....though I tried and tried.... he was not going anywhere. So at 11:30 they called a C-Section for me. I was NOT happy about it, but I knew it was the only way to get him here. I was strapped down to the table and pushed with drugs so I wouldn 't feel them taking him out. It was only a matter of a few minutes when I heard Mike gasp... HE is HERE!! And then I heard a faint whimper and cry...and then I knew it was real. This think living inside of me is finally HERE!!! It was unbelievable!!!!
PROUD PAPA taking him all in!!!
My Long Skinny boy.... May I introduce you to Dylan Michael Hansen born October 6th 2008 at 11:57 p.m. at Lakeview Hospital Bountiful UT. He weighed in at 7 lbs and 1 oz and was 20 inches long.

Belly Update

35 WEEKS HERE!!! and counting.... September is CREEPING BY

September 11th Shower

This shower was with my church ward ladies. They did such a cute job putting together a little open house for me. There were quite a lot of ladies who showed up to say hi and drop off a gift. I dont think I have ever recieved so many gifts in a short amount of time. I guess the gifts weren't for me... but it is so fun to recieve stuff that will be used for my son. I have a really GREAT ward. I am lucky. The ladies are SO cool! YEah~

August 23rd Shower!!

This shower was really fun. It was really good to see Becky. I am glad she came out for the shower and to hang out with the fam for a while. I wish she could have stayed longer. I had my best friend Emily, her little boy and her mom out to visit for the weekend as well. It was really good to see them and Emily's son is getting really big. I can't wait for our little ones to play around together. The shower was fun... we played the tie around belly game to see how close someone got to my actual size. I fooled all of them.... I wasn't as big as they all imagined. I guess it made me feel good. ha ha..... I got SO MANY cute outfits at the shower. This boy is going to be dressed so cute... I CAN NOT WAIT!

Baby's Room Coming together!!!

Daddy.... putting together the crib. So cute!

Red Cross Shower!!!

August 4th Red Cross baby shower. I was on TV! Yeah... Red Cross and channel 2 teamed up and came to my house to sponser a safety shower! It was a lot of fun. We learned the new and improved rescue techniques on a choking or non-breathing infant. They brought little plastic babies in and had us practice. It was really a good idea for them to do this. So they interviewed me and shot a little video of the people at the shower. If you want to go to the site to read the story click below... not that big of a deal...but it was cool.
